Air pollution is everywhere, no matter where you live, you can't escape it, and the pollutant that affects people more is particulate matter. We all know that atmospheric particulate matter is a general term for a variety of solid and liquid particulate matter present in the atmosphere, often abbreviated as PM and used as a measure of air pollution.
Atmospheric particulate matter can be categorized into three types according to their diameter:
Total Suspended Particulate Matter (TSP) less than 100 microns in diameter
Respirable particulate matter (PM) less than 10 microns in diameter (PM10)
Fine particulate matter less than 2.5 microns in diameter (PM2.5)
On Sept.22, 2021, the World Health Organization (WHO) released the Global Air Quality Guidelines (AQG2021). In terms of guideline values, the AQG 2021 version tightened the annual average values of PM2.5 and PM10, setting the annual average value of PM2.5 at 5 μg/m³ and the annual average value of PM10 at 15 μg/m3.
Based on this, accurate detection of PM2.5 is becoming more and more important. Laser dust sensor adopts laser LED as the light source, when the fine particles in the air through the constant current fan driven into the area where the laser beam is located, the laser will be scattered, we place the photoelectric sensor in the appropriate location, so that it only receives scattered light, and then through the photoelectric effect of the photoelectric detector to generate electrical signals, amplified and processed by the circuit, we can get the value of the concentration of fine particulate matter.
Our GS5001 Laser PM2.5 dust sensor is a digital particle detection sensor designed based on the laser scattering principle, which can detect the current particle concentration in real time, and can test the range of particles from 0.3μm to 10μm, and can provide a variety of different digital output interfaces, with the unique power-on self-calibration function. The sensor has good consistency and stability. The sensor can be embedded in a variety of instruments or equipment related to particle concentration to provide timely and accurate data.
